Start the car and let it shut off on its own then carefully remove the fuel hose after the fuel filter put a rag underneath to catch fuel dripping out. Have a helper attempt to start the car while you look to see if fuel is coming out. I suggest you use a clear plastic bottle and insert the fuel hose while the helper attempt to start the car. If no fuel come out then that's your problem. Replace the fuel pump.
